Dream fish

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I normally do freshwater, but my dream fish has always been the Moorish Idol. Definitely in a school in a FOWLR type setup.
I'm leery of ever attempting it because of the expense involved and the many poor outcomes I've heard about keeping them.
I kept one about 15 yrs ago, beautiful fish was extremely picky eater and I think it I only got it to eat 2-3 times, eventually it died from lack of food it seemed, fish never would take food, I had heard that was a issue with trying to kept and I was probably 17 at the time

Here are two more dream fish of mine;

First up is the Hawaiian Dragon eel which should be easy enough to obtain when I decide to get one.

....and then there is the wolf eel which I have never known to be available in the hobby.

Guadalupe Bass. Native here in Texas and I’ve the tank space for one. I’ve been trying to catch a juvenile for a while.

I love my thread thanks everyone for posting the cool fish!
I started it thinking more of fish we can never seem to source on our watchlist.
For me it's fish like large male duckhead knife or an orange freshwater angler fish like Wes has 😁

The Brook Trout, it's so beautiful... My states official fish (good luck guessing where I'm from for that), and the best freshwater scion of the salmonidae.
IT JUST SO BEAUTIFUL
