I was thinking the same as Bomber...If thats how you filled it..water changes will be twice as painful..def need an alternative to that..nice set- up hope to see it running soon? also what are the measurements..is it a standard 180?
Wow complete forgot about this thread so might bring it up to speed. It's gone through some tankmates unfortunately but, pleased where it will be once future tankmates growout big enough for it.
Don't have many pictures left from when it first started between new laptop and, camera.
Anyway shortly after picking the tank up I decide the showcase fish was to be a Black Arowana so I set out to find one and, came across Jeff Rapps the rest is history. Got a video shortly after arrival here. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rh8fqzV3wyA
Tank went through some neglect as I had become a gearhead. Funds just got dropped into my new car and new found hobby.
During the neglect I believe is the reason I had lost my group of 7 clown loaches all 7" or bigger which made me lose even more interest.
Quick picture from the 55 holding tank while the 180 was maturing.
Then I pickup a group of polys from a member in PA pictures here
(2 Palmas Polli, 2 Green Zaire, 1 Lap)
Then other issues arised and, lost some polys but, no loses since.
I'll take some pictures tomorrow to show it's current state ass the ones I have are in the wrong format.
Heres a video about 4 months ago to hold off until pictures come http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MGKBvmUsuZM
Filtration is an FX5 and, a small Eheim Ecco rated for 60 gallons or so. Wanna get another fx5 or a bigger Eheim but, saving as much as possible to move out of my parents place.
