Dude, need you ask? Hoplarchus psittacus ALL the way. They get large, are relatively peaceful, but don't get punked easily. Very owner orientated. All mine eat from my hand. Absolutely love them, and definately not common. Plus they are GORGEOUS!! ;) Trust me bro, I've kept my parrots with jags, pikes, terrors, and caquetaia...they are tried and true awesome fish. They just look awesome in tanks. Can't get enough of them. That would be the way to go if you were trying to stay SA. Since you have a jag in there though I guess your not..haha.

A normal color phase/morph of Petenia splendia would be awesome! They have some of the best coloration, don't see them as often because the orange/red morph is sold more. I personally like the normal phase better.

Caquetaia myersi is another one that would look awesome in that size of tank. Rapps has some for a pretty penny...but so do I...;)

Shadow...you have V. zonatus? They are my ABSOLUTE fav. Vieja (Paratheraps now...annoying name changes). LOVE their colors compared to the other Viejas.

definite no on the festaes way too aggro not takin a chance i was lookin at the myersi very cool and i figured peanut would say parrots im gonna do some investigating great choices im off to look for pics

Heres are some pictures of my old 'Brazilian' Hops...they are the greenish/turquoise fish with the red throats in the back grounds.

They were only about 6" in these photos, and they can get up to around 16" easily. Great fish, love their mild temperments, big eyes and mouths. Just cool fish all around. I lost the ones in the pictures due to a heater sticking, luckily though I was able to find some more of the 'Brazilian' strain (the Brazilian strain has more of a turqouise color and redder throats generally, the columbian and venezuelan are more greenish with not as red of throats, but still very attractive...Brazilians are banned from export now as well...;) ) but they have some pretty bad HITH. Hopefully they will breed for me though! ;)

very nice peanut much better than the pics in my books how about some pics of your myersi

wow peanut thopse are some sweet brazilians!

Yeah they were sweet, really sucked that I lost them. The ones that I have now have some pretty bad HITH, doubt it will ever get better...really sucks. They are still awesome fish though.

Umm..just use the Advanced Search and find all the threads I have made in the Photo Lounge....;) There are quite a few pictures of my myersi in there...;)

My Zonatus is only 2.5 -3" right now but is showing strong blue through body and lots of red in dorsal, anal and caudal. I got it through the same lfs as the marm .
