I totally 2nd that motion cgeek. Aside from the fact that all those cool pikes we used to see (albeit) occasionally from Brazil are not included on the 'permissible' list of species to export from that country http://www.monsterfishkeepers.com/forums/showthread.php?t=297166 , the government employed 'Brazilian Customs', known as IBAMA, has been on strike for over 5 weeks now.
Below is a quote my exporter sent via email to me just today:

"Unfortunately the justice meeting last Wed concluded that the ibama strike is legal where judges voted 5 against vs. 3 favourable to ibama. That means strike still goes on and government is forced to negotiate with ibama in order to attend their orders. This situation can be quickly ended or not depending on negotiations."

Sadly, with IBAMA on strike, the movement of Brazilian fish is at a standstill.
Not even domestic shipments originating in Belem, Altamira, Mato Grosso, or Santarem are being shipped within the country.

So for now, I suppose it's all we can do to just look at photos taken from shipments in past years .

I can't believe that I have no photos of one of my favorite Brazil pikes from the Rio Tocantins - Cr. cyclostoma!
I once kept a colony of them for some time in a tank where caves and pvc were piled up like the cross section of an apartment complex (similar to above photo). That tank was as busy and entertaining as 'people watching' may be from a bench seated in Times Square!

Hi Jeff:
Thank you for all the pics, you just help me find out one of my pike the real name, based on your pics, I think she is C.Sp.Jabouti, if you have time could you tell me more about the location of this kind pike. Thank you, Jeff.
