I'm getting much better results taking pics of my danio now that I have a speedlight (got it for Christmas).
It was above the tank, using a radio trigger.spwd;4736639; said:Great pics mate, was the speedlight attached or remote above the tank?

I cleaned the glass pretty thoroughly, then pushed the light to the very front of the tank and used the largest possible aperture setting on my lens (which is 3.5). I also have a black background on the tank itself, which helps a little. I didn't have any sort of flash when I took those pics, except for the built-in flash on my camera, but now that I have the speedlight, I don't have to do anything special with the lighting to get that effect.cebosound;4736693; said:Great Pics! How do you get the black look behind the fish? (light off on the tank, then using some sort of special flash?... just a guess lol)

I'm not sure if I have any recent ones... I'll see if I do, and if not I'll take a new one.nomad;4737440; said:I like the pacu shot.....any full tank ones ?
