find the biggest pot you can find, the fastest way for your driftwood to release tannins is by boiling it, if not find a sturdy bin and pour boiling water in it. dump the water and reboil again, after the 3rd boil you should be good

That's a great idea! I couldn't figure out how to get it in a pot to boil it, but can put it in a clean bin and put hot water in it instead! Awesome! Thanks!

was it because of the height or the diameter that you couldn't fit it in the pot? For me it was the height since I have a 1.5 ft diameter and what I did was leave half of the driftwood sticking out, then i would take it out and stick the other half in. my driftwood was about twenty pounds and it took me three boilings and after each boiling i would dump into the tub only just because of about a half inch of the driftwood since it was too long to be immersed. But I found it best to leave it in a boiling pot instead of just soaking it in in boiling water, also to mention it's much faster and more efficient.
