Finding DW is always cheaper, it's just that people are too lazy to cure it...................
 
Is there a reason not to use chlorine to sterilize it? I mean we all have de-chlorinators on hand already...

I just picked up a nice 6ft piece I'm cleaning now, so it would be convenient. Also, I have access to some 600 gallon tanks to soak up to 8ft pieces in, wondering if people would be interested?

The primary active ingredient in bleach Chlorine...

Dechlorinators are also de-bleach-inators...

I've bleached a few pieces before. I added a hefty dose of prime afterwards and haven't lost any fish to it.
For the OP, I've also baked some smaller pieces. I didn't have any problems burning them, it just smelled like musty wood in my kitchen for the rest of the day.
