Be sure to take a saw.

:grinyes:

I just bought a saw for that exact purpose. I was tired of carrying around a 36'' bow saw when I go canoeing or hiking :screwy: . I found THIS in my local hardware store - attaches easily to my belt and will have paid for itself with the first piece it cuts. Can't wait for my next trip to try it out. My wife thinks I am an obsessed drift wood harvester :D

Milky, just drive to a local stream. It give you a chance to take your Mustang for a spin and to discover the great outdoors. And it saves you $$$

the stuff that i find at the pet store (not LFS) is a really rich reddish-brown color with a smooth almost waxy "bark" is that stuff ok to use in a fish tank?
like the stuff that they sell for reptiles, birds, and stuff.

if you live in a northern stote, you can boil(local resturaunt may boil large pieces for a fee) your own wood pieces that you scout out from some of your locallities. be sure not to damage the eco too much!

naw i WANTED that stuff cause it fits with the mangroove root theme i am going for.
