Does anyone on MFK use Crushed Coral to counteract the effect their driftwood has on their tank's pH?

The trick is finding the right balance to give yourself the "ideal" PH for your set up...

You don't need to use as much crushed coral to increase the PH as you might think. Start out small, see what the changes are and add more if needed.
Nope, I've just been letting mine ride and so far my fish are fine. I should probably test the PH again, I haven't really been worried about it at all.
Should be getting a piece of manzanita sometime soon, when I add that I'll have to monitor a little more closely with the increased amount of wood.
So far so good though, haven't had any problems.
