Agreed soak it for a while till some of the tannins come off then place it back if you still wan't it there the tannins won't really hurt your fish they will most likely affect the PH so unless thats a problem i would put it back

i may try it again later but i'll have to find another way to sink it. wife said no more wood in the pool.
