Driftwood or no driftwood?

In the end of the day your wish will prevail, take note of the suggestions of ADE you can take it out or stay with it and wait till they grow and less shy, they will show their face.
 
My ntt dat hid in his pvc pipe for the first year before he would come out to eat. I had to put the shrimp into the pipe with a feeder stick or he would have starved. In the end I took the pipe out so I could finally see him. He is still only six inches and he still hides behind the sponge filter half the time.

My new 9" IT in another tank is a little braver and stays out most of the time but still ducks behind a large piece of driftwood once in a while. He is still getting used to his new home, though, as he is still unstable.

I would recommend keeping the driftwood as the dats will be less stressed if they can hide and will be more stable.
