1. Ok I have some drift wood is there any other way to get it to stay sunk besides weighing it down or im guessing siliconing it to bottom?

is there a paint that you can easily take off if you decide to not have it painted anymore

you could tie it to something else on the bottom. You could put a big rock across the middle of it.

Usually after you soak it for a week or so it'll sink on its own. Why would you want to paint it?

Not paint the drift wool sorry. I mean the back of the aquarium on the outside instead of a background.

I've seen on some driftwood, I think its called epoxy something like that just a coat of clear paint- I think its due to the wood being too soft so some people just paint it with epoxy to keep it from becoming too bad to use

however those driftwood are usually attached to slate bottom and I like bassinkorea's idea of eggcrate

I don't use paint for any reasons whatsoever due to my plecos- no way they're going into my tanks

For the back of the tank I've just used whatever spray paint i had on hand. Paint the outside and you can scrape it off with a razor blade if you dont like it. Its a lot of work that way but its safe.

Krylon fusion will work to paint driftwood. It's permanent though unless you have access to a sandblaster to blast it off. I've considered doing this to the driftwood in my loach tank to prevent some of the tannin leeching.
