Any advice on prepping a large driftwood before putting in the tank?
Ideally, it would be best if the prepping process could completely eliminate tannins from leeching into the tank water & also eradicate all potential pathogens from the driftwood..
Boiling would be a hassle as the driftwood is too big to fit in any pots.. I could try pouring hot water directly on the wood but not sure how effective this would be.. also, will the hot water ruin the wood, making the structure weak etc?
I've heard of people using epsom salt to soak the driftwood.. is this effective?
How do you guys prep your driftwood?
Thanks in advance for reading and replying..
