drill a hole is a nice piece of slate and you a stainless steel screw to hold the WOOD down...lol

I use malaysian as well and i have 3 chunks in my 240 and 2 of them are over 3ft long all sank the day i got them.

THAT IS SOME SWEET DRIFTWOOD!!! Malaysian you say... where did you get it??? Biggest I have been able to find is 26", and I'd like something more around 36" or more... maybe 48!

Why do you want it to float? If you do want it to float take it out and let it sit for a few weeks.
