I just picked up a piece of driftwood from a member on here. I think it looks too big for my tank.. what do you guys think? I like it, but it seems like it takes too much space that the arowana could use to swim around..

The tank is a 150 (5x2x2)

move it to one side, you dont want to have eye catching piece in the exact center its less visually appealing.

i would wait and see if the arowana is damaging its self on it. like scratching its sides.

I would agree here. Try moving to 1/3 or 1/4 of the tank. You can also try rotating the wood for different looks.

Personnal preference but I like things preportioned. If you move it to one side, get another piece for the other side even if its shorter. I like the wood IMO, unless your aro starts to get damage from the wood.

I agree move it to the sides of the tank it would look more appealing and keep an eye on you fish if they are scraping themselves on it then take it out and give it a trim but really I like the shape of it as it is

Great advice . . .

I would probably move it at the side. By the way it looks, I can tell the Arowana doesn't like it. The Arowana is suppose to be swimming on top..

Thanks for the quick responses guys! I''ll try moving it to one side of the tank. The picture was taken right after I put it in that's why the arowana on the bottom.. right now it's swimming around the tank but doesnt seem like it likes that giant piece of wood in its way haha.

I was thinking about trimming some of the driftwood but it seems like a waste..

try moving it on the a different position and get the lowest height as possible, so you Aro will be ok.
