Anyone else think the prices are ridiculous? I was searching for large pieces and the want $80-$100. Its wood that washed up on shore or at best someone took 5 mins to cut. I really like the stuff but come on. Anyone know a site or have a vendor that have reasonable prices?

Try eBay. I got a extremely nice piece that was 36" long 16" tall and about 12" deep for less than $50 shipping included.

20"long x12" high x 10" deep for $15.00 at LFS. I would keep looking around.

Just read up on DIY and head for the woods and rivers.:headbang2

yea but just normal wood rots easy dosnt it? Plus the closes river to me is the Delaware. The only thing im gonna find there is bodies and trash.

there are tons of lakes and rivers over here, and i can find it washed up all the time. Just find a map, and depending where you are wait for the snow to melt (I CANNOT FRIGGIN' WAIT TILL SPRING) and just look. You can find some beautiful stuff stuck in between rocks in rivers and streams. :) good luck

it can rot fairly easy, but a lot of that wood has been soaked for years and some even decades. You should be fine.

yeah.. i hate the prices on driftwood.. it is ridiculous.. imo
