I'm going to set up a 30 gallon planted aquarium and i was wondering which types of driftwood i could put in it. I've heard of Manzanita being used. Is there anything better to use?

Cardinals, neons, columbians, penguin, black neons, black phantoms, red phantoms, diamonds, xrays, lemons, glowlights, beacons, glass bloodfins, bleeding hearts, flames, embers and rummies. Pick one or two species.

I have seen manzanita wood used beautifully in tanks. Google manzanita wood and the first result has great package deals. They don't have any aquarium stuff, but if you call them they will piece together a great priced packaged.

I use malaysian and mopani right now, those are mainly what you'll find in stores. You can use a lot of hard woods that don't leach toxins that are harmful for your fish, do a lot of research before you plunge a log that you found in the woods though.

BTW, I don't think a single pair of apistos will make enough waste for a full planted tank, so you will have to dose nitrates. Better to go with a school of small fish, with maybe some apistos on bottom.

i have two pieces of malasian driftwood 6 dwarf neon rainbows 1 bushy nose plecostomus 1 otto 1 flag fish an 2 dwarf chain botias
