Well it depends what you are looking for. I see Tom Barr as having nicer and larger pieces as he comes from a planted tank/aquascape competition background. His pieces wont's have squared of sawed off parts unless you ask him to cut for shipping. His plainer smaller pieces seem to be priced similar to manzaman's pieces. Not saying manzaman's pieces are not nice or big some of them are very nice. If you are going for an amano look or any of those epic looking pieces you see in books and online you should look through Tom's stuff. Also I'm not sure if this is his usual process but he shipped me the piece first and let me check it out before I paid for it.
