DriftWood!

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Man I had mine in a bucket and I was like screw this after a day and just threw it in and my water was brown for maybe a day and haven't had trouble since. With both my pieces. Love driftwood... My tank just has one piece and is kinda ugly compared to some of the other tanks on here, but you can sort of see the driftwood in the middle:

You can also see the smaller piece I have in my 10 gal, which currently has some neon tetras being treated for fungus, hence the green water:

As stated, if its really annoying you then add some activated carbon to your filters or tanks and it should help clear it up...

Now a days i just leave it if i get any new driftwood, the tannins actually make the tank look pretty sweet imo...

I've been prepping wood for a 55g build for about a month both pieces are now sitting kinda lopsided in my 38 to get bio on them. I actually like the yellowish tint to my water but I also use peat to lower my pH.

To my original point I had decent luck by soaking is scalding hot water and I changed the water 3-4 times a day
