boil it in a pot of boiling hot water if it is too big put it in a bucket and pour the boiling hot water over it until the wood is completely submerged and let it sit for a day or two if it floats hold it under the water with something... repeat a couple times if you want just to be safe... mine slimed only 2 times and i did not have to boil it i just washed it with very hot tap water and scrubbed the entire thing pretty hard with a wash cloth.. hope that helps
