drilling 3/4" glass...

Is safe to drill on the bottom of a 150g tank? Or is better on a side i want to remove mi pvc overflow

My tank is a custom build and no glass is tempered. Usually the bottom pane is tempered though, meaning do NOT drill! I am told sides can also be tempered, you should confirm before drilling imo.

I would then check directly with whomever made the tank and confirm what type of glass was used.
