Drilling holes in bottom of tank

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
My LFS fabricated some glass overflows and installed them in the tank so they could have a deep sand bed. The tank was tempered glass on the bottom so they just drilled 1.5" holes about 2" above the bottom on the back of the tank. 4 or 5 times a year they have to scrub the bottom of the overflow because of algea build up but it was worth it to hide all of the PVC. worked great for them so far!
