Drinking Water Filter??

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
That cartridge canister filter would work. The canister cartridge filter you linked to is available with different fittings... NPT (National Pipe Thread) fittings being the most common. You would need to purchase NPT to compression adapters to adapt the cartridge filter to your current tubing configuration. Should be pretty easy.

Have you priced out the carbon block filters for the new canister cartridge filter? You might not be gaining much from the upgrade. I recall the carbon block cartridges not being much bigger than the disposable cartridge you already have. If the price is the same you really are not gaining much as the disposable carbon filter you have is considerably easier to change than the canister cartridge filter you linked to.

What purpose are you trying to serve with the upgrade? Water changer? Drip system?

No, it's specifically for drinking water. I have both in my house but was wondering if any are superior in any way? I particularly want it to reduce chlorine.

Price is about the same per cartridge.
