Drip system.....drip rate help

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Have you actually checked it? I bought the 60gpd equivalent and it's pushing 72gpd

I originally bought the 40 from them with the full carbon drip system...and i found that was doing about 50-55 gpd....

To be honest i dont think any of the regulators or emitters out there are close to acurate

Which makes it really uard to calculate when the filters need replacing

My 40 gpd was more like 25, I have a feeling that they are all off a bit

what I test is nitrates in the tank water, and chloramines in the drip output. I used to drip 40 GPD, and nitrates starting climbing slowly, so I went to 60 GPD, and nitrates don't creep anymore. That's what I'm after, so I've never tested the actual drip rate.

What I test more often than anything is for presence of chlorine in the drip output--I've never seen any. I went 6 months on my last set of filter cartridges, which is better than 3 months when I very first started running the drip. So, I'm stoked.
