My carbon filters get loaded up pretty quickly. Should i be running a sediment first in line?

IF your filters are like mine, they should be 5 micron sediment with carbon.....

I run 3 filter housings. When I change them I take the 3rd filter and put it as the 1st one, then replace the next 2 with new. Since #1 plugs before the carbon runs out you're basically using it as a sediment.....

Yes you should. I was fine without one for 3+ years and all of the sudden my city started construction and the sediment increased substantially. It almost cost me my leos. Thankfully I caught it in time. This is if it were left as is for 3 weeks....

I don't have that option. I do not want to be replacing $26 worth of filters weekly. I use sediment filters to extend the life of the chlorine filters to what they should be.

How many micron are these sediment filters? What are you using for chlorine filters at $26?

I run 5 micron and have 1 micron as well but am not using the 1 micron right now. The chlorine filters I use are the Matrix ones from filter guys. Two filters are $26 so $13 each vs $1 each sediment filter. The x50 packs are $60 shipped on Amazon.
