So I just passed my road course and got my license! It was on my second attempt though, so I was wondering if you guys have any stories about when you got you licenses. I failed the first time on a fluke accident, but this second one went flawlessly. I'm just curious if anybody else has some funny stories about it or if and other kids who are going to have their tests soon have any questions

I got screwed over on my first attempt. Some lady hit the crosswalk light button right as I was in front of it, and I didn't have enough time to stop, so I just kept going. Instructor failed me (turns out she was a ***** who failed everyone).

Took me a week to get mine due to the rain. Then when I finally got a dry day the horn stopped working so had to go back the next day with a different vehicle 7 30 minute drives to the dmv later and I finally got my license

I passed the written first time taking it

failed the driving first time. I probably drove a car like twice before taking the first drive test and probably shouldn't have been behind the wheel.

passed it the second time

I passed my first time taking it... kinda! My story was weird the day and time of my road test we were having a big snow storm visibility rough but I wanted to go anyways. I practiced in the snow and I thought it would be easier like the instructor would take it easy on me! We get their and the lady is like we can't go out in your vehicle, the turning light wasn't bright enough she said it was flickering to fast which indicated a dying light so it wouldn't be strong enough especially in this conditions. So it was rescheduled for 3 days later but as soon as I get home the storm completely cleared up, it was sunny and there was nothing wrong with the headlight. The car was brand new too so it was weird someone or thing didn't want me driving that day!

When it came to my road test my friend told me the route he got so i just casually practiced it even though i knew I wouldn't get the same route. When it was my turn I got the exact same guy he got and he took me on the exact same route passed first try! I lost some points stupidly though. he took me on two left turns when there was a parked car like right at an intersection so instead of going back into my lane (we were passing cars on a residential street with parked cars) i just turned apparently thats bad even though there was a car in my way. also almost failed because someone was standing (NOT USING OR EVEN LOOKING TOWARDS THE STREET) at a corridor i almost failed because i didn't slow down

I drove my motorcycle to a road test for my cycle endorsement. It was in a church parking lot with a little bit of gravel around which made it a little intresting. Kind of hard to shift into 1st then 2nd and stop within a 2 ft area when your tires are sliding. Instructor was real nice though no points deducted.

My driving test was uneventful, our BMV was downtown at the time, and a lot of times if you took the driving test in the afternoon after school, parking was so bad, you didn't have to parallel park. So I got to skip that section... to this day I don't think I've ever had to parallel park anywhere, lol.

On a funnier related note, some of us were messing with a kid in Drivers Ed. at school, and had him convinced of the old myth/joke that the "Stop signs with white borders are optional, just a recommendation".
He failed his first driving test, was pretty mad at us...

We didn't think he'd actually fall for it. Just glad he didn't hit anybody!

Knew a fellow who was really nervous taking his driving test. When he was told to turn left, he looked both directions twice and did a perfect left turn...through a red light.
