so you really have nothing so you go back to my grammer... oh what happened to your first aro in your 10'x5'? youcouldnt have sold is because then your a hypocrite and that cant be you.

a 24" aro has room to turn without touching the sides in a 180gal. if you knew what you were talking about then you would know but you dont. till now the reason i had been selling my aros was to get a group that worked. to go into my pond. any aros i had i would keep them till i found them a home with someone that had a group and wanted to add to it. 24" was the best size because everyone around me that has a group have all over 24" aros jackass. but you knew that right? oh wait you might not understand because of my bad grammar right?

A aro In a 180 is too over crowded, when a fish is longer than the width of the tank you got a problem

how is a 24" aro longer then the width of a 180gal? last time i checked a stanard 180gal was 72"x24"x24". i shall call you dayak #2 or i may just leave it as #2.

gandalf i just went back and took the time to read your previous posts and i gotta say.... you make about as much sense as a tolit lid. feeding pellets to a young aro is a bad idea? no one should be able to own gator gars, yet a rtc is ok? aros eat krill in the wild since it is on your approved list of foods and you say to match their natural diet? now that you say de is not caused by head trauma it cant be caused by look down because you say that they mainly eat river shrimps off the bottom so that doesnt make sense. how does an aro make it 4' out of the water? it jumps the force of that jump is at its greatest 1" from the surface of the water... how far is that tank lid they hit and sometime break?

Considering a silver arowana can turn completely around in roughly 1/3rd it's body length, proper tank depth has very little to do with the turning around. You guys are suggesting that arowana are stiff as a board?

I know your speaking from experience here, though Scott did say a 24" aro which would be the max aro in a standard 180g.

Keeping them in a small tank would inhibit their ability to move too much or pick up enough speed to cause damage upon themselves... if the trauma thing holds any truth.

Silver arowana have the ability to launch themselves 6' into the air while starting just below the waters surface. They do not require running room to get going.

Below has a good shot of a jumping arowana(though a black and not a silver) so you get the idea.

Guys, please find better ways to convey your thoughts. Gandalf... you came to a forum, which is a system used across the internet for exchange of real world experience. That is what these guys are giving you. To reject them in the methods you have, is to waste everyone's time. Everyone has different experience, and different opinions, but insults will not be tolerated. Clean it up, all of you, or many of you will be taking breaks.

Wow....I reported you "moderator" by the way. Your ahem, telling me to shut up here...You do see what these people have said right? I already reported your "infraction" against me. And they're giving me real world experience? No, they're inventing curses I've never heard of. I've been told my mother should've swallowed me, and others have been told they're the reason stupid people shouldn't be able to reproduce, and i've been told I make as much sense as a toilet lid...This is just pathetic. I'm DEFINITELY done with this website. Go ahead and ban me. But I will MAKE SURE that you get banned as a moderator.
