Drop Eye on young Arow

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
mine looks down all the time but its not de yet cause he can still move them up when he wants too. and btw the ping pong ball doesnt work. I have one and the aro just ignores it. He is too interested in what the silvet dollars are doing.

I'm wondering... For all you people with arowana community tanks, do you notice a decrease in DE? I would think that all the top water activity of the other aros would cause the the aros to all look up more often, therefore dropeye would be less common.

Depends on what theory you support. I personally do not believe DE is caused from the aro looking down. Multiple trauma to the head make more sense to me.

I'm not disappointed that my arow has DE, but it just sucks for my arow because he has to look down all the time

i know for a fact that all the silvers i've seen brought up in a pond in Singapore never got drop eye only ones that have been living in aquariums.
weird huh?

My silver is about twice the size of yours but it started to get drop eye around the 10" mark. Just something that happens to silvers in aquaria. As long as it is healthy and eating well I wouldnt worry too much about it.
