mine looks down all the time but its not de yet cause he can still move them up when he wants too. and btw the ping pong ball doesnt work. I have one and the aro just ignores it. He is too interested in what the silvet dollars are doing.

I'm wondering... For all you people with arowana community tanks, do you notice a decrease in DE? I would think that all the top water activity of the other aros would cause the the aros to all look up more often, therefore dropeye would be less common.
one of our community sellers says its a infection, but because he cant dig up what he read or care enough to speak of it again, i therby but a big BS stamp over that file.

i for one dont, because i have not seen the long term progress of the same fish that went through that surgery.
My silver is about twice the size of yours but it started to get drop eye around the 10" mark. Just something that happens to silvers in aquaria. As long as it is healthy and eating well I wouldnt worry too much about it.
