Drop Eye Prevention Tip

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
If the cure is a really big pond then genetics is not the problem.

Well whatever, I'm just mentioning a tip I think works.

Well just experiment if you have an Arowana and its eye is starting to drop put some floating plants in the tank and see if the dropping eye stops dropping. If the eye stops dropping your Arowana probably would thank you for that.

i tried the pond cure. it made no difference to mine. I think the theory about weak genes from inbreeding is probably right, I've not seen a asian or jardini with DE only silvers.

Maybe, still wouldn't an Asain Arowana from a farm not have as strong/ much genetic diversity genes as wild Silver Arowanas.

You honestly think this is the first time aro keepers have heard this? Do a quick search. There's a bunch of users that sign up and share this "Secret" tip of drop eye prevention to no avail. It happens, so what if you "think" it works. Many Aro owners w/ drop eye can tell you that they KNOW it doesn't.

No Actually I just figured it was a tip that was just worth posting weather your a beginning with Arowanas or not.
