Drop Eye surgery in SoCal?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Dont have any experience with that but having no one respond sucks so thought U would at least say I feel for you!

i would contact some of the guys from asia... and either youtube or arfanatics there was a video of it being done...

mate cosmetic surgery on fish is as wrong as color dyeing fish. at end of days its for your benifit more than the fish, ive had a rtg with de so bad his eye would role back, and that only just caused him mild annoyance at best... he was still 100% healthy and able to out compete over aros for food.... if you are thinking of operating because u brought a silver and dont like the de then u cleanly didn't do the research before u brought it... if it bugs u that much what u need to do is sell the aro with DE and buy a black!

Thanks for everyone advice ...Have too much pass with this fish to sell it ... I think I am going on with it... so if anyone in the socal area that done it before or can help perform this , hit me back .....but thanks for everyone advice.....

I don't think you are going to have much luck finding anyone in the U.S that will reliably perform this surgery. Assuming you have a legal aro, there's not much demand for DP surgery here in the states with silvers, blacks/blue, jars and leis.

Asia is a different story.

Ive done gill cure but never DE. I dont think I would even try. But good luck id like to watch.

If I had a valuable fish, I wouldn't mess w/ the eye surgery....what if it goes horribly wrong, then you got a one eyed fish.;):( Just live with it, some aro's get drop eye.

Fins and gill plate are one thing but messin w/ the eyes is a whole other story.:screwy:
