I have a feeling its his expensive fish... Right bro?

Anyways like what the others said, don't take the chance. Leave it as it is and enjoy how it evolved.

mate cosmetic surgery on fish is as wrong as color dyeing fish. at end of days its for your benifit more than the fish, ive had a rtg with de so bad his eye would role back, and that only just caused him mild annoyance at best... he was still 100% healthy and able to out compete over aros for food.... if you are thinking of operating because u brought a silver and dont like the de then u cleanly didn't do the research before u brought it... if it bugs u that much what u need to do is sell the aro with DE and buy a black!

Keeping something alive in a glass box is always to the benefit of the owner...

I was was also thinking of buying some cheap Silvers to get some practice...

Drop eye does not kill arowanas as far as i know . Correct me if i am wrong, but this can be caused by fat or looking down.
I heard that a pink ping pong ball floating on the tank can help put eye back up
But i have seen aros with drop eye, eat well and live long.
why cut them up?

the thing is if its a silver aro their is a stong chance the aro will get DE which everyone should be aware of when they buy

if it any other aro then its just unlucky if the aro gets DE

the only way i have ever seen de improve is with all tank walls covered as ibn a pond, only light getting in is throught the surfacve, this doent cure just makes it a lil less pronounced, even then, put back in a tank with the side uncovered chances are the de will reocure... its just one of those things aro keepers should really learn to liv with!
