Dropped a 265

Ya at the time I thought that even though it wasn't in my full care it was at least partial which is why I got a discount and additional equipment. Now that I look back I wish I had of just got in my truck and left but I'm big about personal responsibility and I had at least some. If everyone would take responsibility for their actions everyone would be better off. It is still holding water and I think it will hold. I am going to use sand as a substrate which would hopefully act as a plug to a leak if one does start however that is just a guess. It is still holding. I wish I could take a pic of what happened but it is covered in a ton of silicone. It is worth the risk to me and we will see how it all works out. I hope to have it up and running by Christmas and have some media in my other tanks that I can take out and seed it to allow new stock right away.

It is still holding water and if it is still there by tonight I am going to go ahead and drain it so it won't freeze and shatter the glass when it gets cold tonight. I am going to try to convince my wife to let me have people over on the 21st to celebrate our doom if we aren't dead already. While I believe the Mayans just got lazy and had to stop recording at some point why not drink to it with friends. Worst case I will have 10 or so trusted people I can arm and fight off zombie masses with chain saws, rifles, and a shoal of rbp. The main benefit of this will be "hey while you are here can we move this tank, I have free bourbon." I usually get money from my parents for Christmas that I can use towards fish. I keep going back and forth on what I want and what will be too crowded but I’ll make another thread for that when I see what is available.

And you still have people who will help you move your tanks, or is this when someone is buying? I emptied it today to make sure it didn’t freeze but I noticed one of the wheels broke. I was using cheap wheels which were fine when empty or for short periods but now while it was full. I am going to have to jack it up a bit so I can put another one in tomorrow. The plan is to have it moved on the 21[SUP]st[/SUP].

Great news for now at least. I had a few friends help me move the tank a couple days ago up on the stand. There is a ton of silicone so I was feeling confident. It has been filling for about a half hour and is half way full with no leaking at all as of now. I’m really excited however it still has half to go as well as the test of time. I am not going to sleep at all tonight. If it is still holding new years day I am going to start ordering my fish.

Oh how awful...............

As of the last couple hours the tank is fuller than I plan on keeping it and holding well. I really feel like this is going to work out for me. Hopefully in the next couple days I can start a new post of the final plans on stock. It changes by the day so who knows.

Glad to hear that it's working out and holding water. Crossing my fingers for ya.

Thanks, every time my dog is over there playing I keep thinking I hear water rushing out but it is just him rolling on the floor.
