Well I dropped my 450 gallon all glass while moving it today and shattered two panels of glass. One end piece at 36"x30" and one long front piece at 8'x30". I almost cried. :( Anyvody do or know of anybody in the Western Wisconsin, Eastern Minnesota area that builds tanks?

good Lord man. Sorry to hear. Looks like you need to use the good panes of glass and do yourself a plywood build.

I am seriously thinking or doing a plywood build now. I would be fine with using pylwood for the back since its a covered background anyways, but if possible I would still like to keep glass sides as well as the glass front, so I would still need to replece that one side panel that broke which certainly souldnt be very expensize. We shall see. There is a glass factory here in my town and my neighbor works at so I am going to see what deals I can get on new glass thru him.

Glass that thick isn't what most factories make. I wish you luck. My heart is broken with yours... I know I would have sobbed uncontrollably.

wow that sucks, i would cry if my 240 gallon broke. very very sad story good luck with your new tank build. i would go bigger :))

I cant imagine the number and at what volume obscenities would fly from my mouth if i dropped a tank that big.

Well believe me, I was yelling up a storm VERY loudly. Even my other neighbor down the road heard me and came running. It was a sad thing. I'll post some photos up of the wreck. But at least I can rebuild it. That makes the tears stop. If I go plywood, I'm definently going bigger! Maybe a 600 or so.
