Yeaaaaahhhhhh! I got the D1X back on Friday. The repair was cheaper than I thought. It only cost $250 to get it fixed. They fixed the hotshoe, of course, changed the rubber grip, and updated the firmware. Why they changed the grip, I have no idea...just glad it's back.

Awesome! More likely they're trying to justify the cost by adding a new grip to the camera.

Actually that aint to bad considering the camera.
