i swear as long as i live that i will never order from these guys again. last week i ordered some items from them and paid for 2 day air and for a signature to be required. the idiot who took my order forgot to put in my order sig required, fedex then left the package at the front door, mind you i live in an apartment building and its not the safest place around, and it was stolen. called drfoster&smith to make a claim they sent me another order. Lucky i was home because as i was walking out the door there was my box on the floor no sig not even a knock on the door and the fedex guy waiting for the elevator. he says no sig required, IDIOTS FORGOT AGAIN. Now it was my turn to be the idiot as i decided to place another order 2nd day air so i can get it on wed, my day off, now the a-holes are shipping it to my billing address which is at my moms and its too late to change it without it being delayed a day so now i have to drive to my moms and spend half of my day just sitting there doing nothing. :irked: :wall:
 
Dang, that sucks.

I've ordered from them once before, i had no problems.
Maybe they had some new people?
 
that sounds like human error..... its almost impossible to prevent and happens in every business...... always ask for the name of the person you speak with.......

I would not take this incident to speak for dfs as a whole..... i had the pleasue of visiting their facility in WI a few months back..... let me say..... i was more than amased by what i saw...... they are the largest employer in Rhinelander Wi with over 500 employees and have some very very hitech and inovative order packing procedures.......

your right it is human error but for this to happen to me 3 times in the same week makes me not want to order from them again. Lets just say It'll be a long time b4 i place another order with them.

I dont blame you.

That would leave a pretty bad taste in my mouth too.
 
From personal experience working at a company that does most of their business online and shipping it across the world, it always seems like the cases that go wrong always go really wrong and always mess up multiple times. You never have one shipping error per order, there is always that order that goes terribly wrong in several different ways and believe me, most of the time the people feel really bad.
 
I believe they call that murphy's law. Everyone else is getting everything thing bang on and you happen to be the statistical error for the week.
 
Ive ordered from Foster and Smith on many occasions. I have always had no problems with their service, in fact I thought it was top notch. Their customer service line is open 24hrs and the people to whom I've spoken have always been helpful and knowledgeable. I've always received my package in two days after ordering.Don't let a single bad experience keep you from trying them again. But thats ultimately up to you.

Also I don't recall that a required signature is an option on their shipping. I know you can request the package be left on the fron porch, side door, back door, but I dont think they have an option for a signature. Maybe I'm wrong.

I've had no problems with any orders with them. But then, I place all my orders online and never had to deal with any body on the phone for any of my orders.
