Drug-filled Mice Airdropped Over Guam to Kill Snakes

Hope they don't kill too many non-target species. But I guess when you get desperate, what else can you do?

There are no native species of snake to Guam. they are killing off an invasive that has driven several bird species like the Guam rail to be extinct in the wild. There are also dogs that are trained to seek and destroy the brown tree snake.

There aren't hardly any "Non-Target" species left.......They've all been eaten out of existance.......

I hope the indigenous birds there are not mice eaters. A radical, but suitable solution to eradicate the brown tree snakes.

Not talking about snakes, but monitors like they mentioned in the article...

i was born and raise in Guam, im glad they are doing something finally instead of useless traps. if you have never heard of the damage to island you would be very happy to see these snakes gone, but i highly doubt it. hopefully
