hello; I think this is called sublimation. It does not melt, it sublimes.

I accidentally harvested one of my citrus trees when the fruit was too small. I ended up with a bunch of sublimes.

Why not just throw a big block of cesium in there instead?

Similar effects can be had without harming fish
