just get a tripod Li, those huge lenses are completely unnecessary unless you're a professional sports or wildlife photographer, and even then it's some what outlandish.

a proper use of a good tripod will yield perfectly acceptable results on your camera.

Nice pix! I cant wait for Xmas the wife to be and i are getting a Canon T1i for eachother. I cant wait. the package is only like 1K and comes with some nice stuff. From what i have read this is a great camera for the money.
