do any of you guys have a telephoto lense? if so, which one and are you satisfied with it? the nikon d5000 does not have an auto-focus motor in the camera body. you have to buy a lense that has a motor in it in order to have the auto-focus feature.
 
Oh yeah, I'm happy with that lens. Cheap, smooth AF, no "creeping". Great lens, no doubt. That and the 55-105mm.
 
i have the 55-200 vr for my d60. i was extremely happy with it until i compared my tamron 90mm macro to it with identical settings. i now understand why some lenses cost more than others. buy a good body of your choosing, then buy great glass.

Yep, But it's kinda sad when the lens you want cost more then the body.:(
