I got a SA XD 40 and i love it. Looking in to getting a SA XDM 40 as well.

I bought my Marlin for exactly the same reason. Heck of a deal and the shells are cheap.

I've had it for a few years. One of the only ones I actually shoot. I'm more of a collector, but I've been thinking about an AR for a while.

What model? My first rifle was a Marlin Model 60SS. I haven't shot that gun in years but I still have it and it's a great rifle. I've killed many cans with it.
