If they were in Belize, they were Boas from Belize. What exactly are you questioning?

is the variety called "belize" or does it have another name? does anyone know where i can buy one with similar patterning for a reasonably low price?
i know about the care of these, but not where to buy them or how to distinguish the variety/what varieties there are.

They are Boas from Belize.........What more are you looking for? Why would you think they have another name? I'm really confused..........

Seeing as its on TV... they probably caught two boas (or purchased) and planted then in a spot, told the guys to go over there and "find" the boas.

that's kinda what i thought and why i posted it.

I saw similar looking ones at a petco o.0 labeled central american boa constrictor.. 178$ Im not sure if its the same kind though

I'm not super familiar with boas either but it's really hard to tell with these guys. They have such a huge and diverse range throughout central, and south america that they can vary in appearance and size greatly, but they are still the same species. So unless you can 'find' one for sale that looks just like that I doubt your gonna pin these down to one 'type'.

does anyone know where i can get one with heavy, well defined patterns on it's sides? that's basically what im looking for.

Well there is always lots of different boas for sale on kingsnake.com. I think your best bet is to manually search until you find one that you like the looks of, and make sure your getting the animal pictured. Oh and boas will change from their hatchling colors somewhat as they mature. Just another thing that makes them so variable. I say find one you like and be happy with it. They are not as easy as other species of snakes to get one exactly how you want it to look.
