Duck eggs!!!!

Now everybody in my neighborhood knows I have a duck lol.
Lets see....a peacock, a bear and 2 cubs, and now my duck. Crazy street lol. He's lost some of his head fuzz, but still has about 3 weeks to go before he's pure white. I can't wait. What an amazing experience guys. :D
 
aww this is so great! My friend had a duck once...she had found it abandoned (already hatched) at a park and it had this great enclosure outdoors when it was older...then her neighbour was a d bag and reported it to the spca and they took it when she was at work :(
 
woah :D he is cute haha. i dunno why but i just got so surprised when i scrolled down and saw him haha :D what do you feed him? he looks cute! but he looks huge too...hmm... Monster Duck Keeper? :D
 
Lol, thanks neer. I feed her duck layer and cracked corn from the feed store. Along with greens, and insects for treats. She's actually not that big. But when she's full grown...she will be. Pekins are a big duck breed.
Funny thing is, I just took her for a walk. :grinno: I'm telling you. I quaked up from seeing the expressions on everybody's faces when I got home. You don't often see a teenager walking his duck around. lol....it was priceless.
Oh, and I just found out...sunny is a girl. :eek: That's right, she quacks.
Males aren't very loud, don't make much noise and their voice is more scratchy. Found that out at the park. Good thing is, we'll get fresh eggs when she's grown...bad thing is...The are LOUD when laying. Muzzle maybe? lol...

awww you're sooo cute haha :D hmm that duck will be a babe magnet i think! sooo that was your secret intention huh?! to try and get the chicks to think you're some sort of knight in shining armour...i see through youuuuuuuuuuuu!
 
Great thread!Been reading it on and off all day finally got to the end.Glad to hear she made it.
I had a pet duck I got the same way when I was 12 or 13.Great pet didnt know what to feed him so he ate gains burgers,dont even think they still make those lol.When he was grown I took him for a walk at the duck pond and he joined the flock.Still would come over to me when he saw me for some burgers lol Lost track of him after a few years.
