Dude jumps on a basking shark of Mass.

Would have been more interesting had the shark been a tiger or bull shark.
I have to agree with you on that one

But i think its cruel cause sense the shark was minding its own business they he came along and jumped on his back. He wouldnt like it if it was the other way around :p

Hopefully this incident taught the shark to be weary of boats, getting jumped was far from the worst thing that could have happened to the shark.

Regardless of if it 'hurt' the shark or not, it does fall under harassing a federal protected species. Get caught = go to fail for a felony.
Not worth it for a pointless act. Extra dumb for putting a video of you doing it online.

I didn't know they were protected, that makes what he did about 20x stupider

Lol... What a Weenie! I doubt the guy knew it was a "Slow" Shark. For someone with that little intelligence, I highly doubt he/they could identify a specific species of Shark except Killer Whales.

It sure was a funny video and a weird way to get a rush Lol, Thanks for sharing :D

Basking sharks are one of the easier to identify from out of water. All you need to do is see them feeding. That and based on when the camera got turned on and where the shark/jumper were when the video start, it is obvious they saw the shark approaching from the other side of the boat.

So post up when the Shark is "Out of Water". Thanks for clarifying the beginning, I thought the Shark was responding to the guys PM (:nilly:)

Was replying to your statement that the person wouldn't be able to ID the shark. Maybe try reading before hitting the reply button next time. It really is a lost art these days.
