Duel 55 Stand with pics - NEED HELP!

I understand what you're trying to say...if the rubber mats dont work I would try just placing some shims under whichever corner needs to be balanced. I did this with my 29gal when I had a similar problem. The shims have held up quite well and my tank sit's smoothly on the shelf and its been over a year now. I think I spent maybe $2 on a pack of shims and problem solved!

Hope that works for ya.

i would go the foam insulation route for this one. with the wieght of the water, it should be enough to balance it out for you as long as you get an insulation that has some give to it when you push on it.

hey.. not sure if u got the problem fixed..

But want to let u know that the costco stands from the link i posted last time.. is NOT the same stand i am currently using...

I when to my costco and saw that the type of metal racks that i got are different brand with the costco ones online... They might look similar.. but its from different company... the ones i used are inside the costco store for $94.99 and the box is blueish green color.. so if u want to use my idea.. go to costco instead of ordering online..

I hope you've solved the problem... Best of luck to you... :)

This will not work. You risk having a leak or cracking the tank doing this. Foam does not compensate for unevenness of the area, only for minor imperfections.

Once again, I must not be clear so I will try another route. The stand is fine, level and all. The problem is when I placed the empty tank on the stand, it rocks corner to corner having nothing to do with how level the stand is leg to leg, it's a matter of the 2x4's the tank actually sits on not being straight and flush with one another. At work, I have access to 1/2" 2 foot long rubber bar matts, I will place them along the 2x4's so when the tank sits on them, they will give enough on either side so that it sits level. I am hoping this will do the trick.

I agree with this, just put a wood shim under the corner of the tank that is not level . Put a level on the top of that tank and make sure that everything is good while you are filling it up.
