Dull the Vibration of Eheim 2260

Turn off the filter and reseat the pump. There should not be any pump vibration noise if installed properly.

I have seen people hang their filters from bungee cords. and it does work, but it's awkward.

Try using something similar to a Yoga mat or those interlocking rubber mats used in children's playrooms. Styrofoam is a bit stiff so you don't really get the vibration absorption you would with a softer rubber.

I didn't mean for you to keep the pump mounting screws loose. Sometimes you just need to loosen them a bit and then alternate snugging them down to reduce the pump vibration. Honestly, there should not be a noticeable vibration from the pump, just a slight humming sound of the motor.

I just waited for the wife to be out and butchered the yoga mat...
