Like I said before, I'm done arguing. We obviously have different definitions of responsibility.Gruff Master;3886828; said:Yes but you are always responsible for yourself. You have no control over other people but as an adult you should have control over your own life and behavior. There is no way to justify it. If it is all about teaching people lessons, wouldn't it have been a lot better to just tell the employee their mistake? Doing what is right is being responsible. Apparently the OP didn't learn this. You say that we should own up to our own mistakes. Then why continue adding insult to the soft-robbery by calling the LFS dumb? This is not the self-responsibility that you are preaching,drgnfrc13. Teaching lessons by being cruel is a poor lesson taught no matter how you spin it. But these are things that as a grown man I have learned to embrace and teach to my little children. I learned from my mistakes and from those around me so I can teach my children how to be...Responsible.
And for once we agree.drgnfrc13;3886844;3886844 said:Like I said before, I'm done arguing. We obviously have different definitions of responsibility.
drgnfrc13;3886720; said:I disagree, if you make a mistake, you take responsibility for it and you learn from it, you don't look down upon someone else for not holding your hand and correcting you, THAT IS NOT THEIR RESPONSIBILITY. No matter how many times you all bring up "honor" and "common decency" that doesn't change the fact that you are not responsible for other peoples mistakes just because you don't point them out to the person. You can't expect people to do that. I agree that the gloating part is a little over the line, but I see nothing wrong with letting people make their mistakes, and I guess I'll just have to leave it at that.

However, that being the case, the topic creator didn't teach anybody a lesson. In fact, unless his LFS is managed well, I doubt anybody noticed.
In my opinion, it was the store's fault for hiring employees who would make mistakes like that in the first place. Be a little more selective, people. A local Taco Bell of mine hired a teenager who didn't even know what wheat was.
