I hate that though I almost died of giggles once when an american eel wriggled right up my sleeve into my shirt one time, I am ticklish and 30+"s of cool, wet, wriggly eel slithering around my waist was damn startling.

DeLgAdO, I can't imagine the sound that a 28" makes hitting the floor. Do you put weights on the lids now and if so how much?

i'll be honest, i hate touching fish. i'll do it only if it is absolutely necessary. when i go fishing, i have trouble grabbing a striper by the mouth with my hands, but i have no problem grabbing a bluefish. it's weird. anyways, if an eel got up my shirt id lose it.

When they jump in the wild, there is always water around. My parents have a small river next to their lake front property. One time it was low and wasn;t flowing into the lake it was blocked by a sand bar. I decided to create my own bass pond. Everytime I caught a LMB, I would put it into this stream. Which was full of minnows and varied between 1' and 5' deep. The bass normally go into it to feed anyway when it's open. Later that week I saw multiple fish jump out at the end, which was blocked by a sandbar. They would land on the sandbar, and flop into the lake. So it seams that they always try and return to their natural habitat, not realizing that there is no more habitat in your living room, or at least I have never seen a fish that prefers a carpeted environment.
