Durso Standpipes = OMFG SILENCE!!!!!

Can't believe i never set these up before! Installed them on my 400g and my 150g and WOW what a difference. my 150g was the loudest since it's 30" tall and the overflow goes all the way to the bottom. sounded like niagara falls 24hrs a day in my living room. now, it doesnt even seem like i have any filtration running.

point i'm trying to make, if you have an overflow/sump YOU NEED durso standpipes. $5 and 15min to make :)

lowes/home depot ;) $5 worth of fittings and just a little bit of your time. they have step-by-step instructions how to make it on their site
 
yes i read it and i didnt see where it said purchase ur own.. i dont have a cc so i cant order online so im gunna get one from the homedepot/lows

yeah i didnt bother when i could make it for less. plus i had a very narrow overflow on my 150g so i had to cut down the fittings a bit for it to fit
 
um just realized how the heckin is that gunna fit for my overflow? i have a power head that returns water to the tank.... so how is this gunna work?

you have a powerhead in your overflow? :confused:
