Yes but sniper is a skill set, not a just a job title, originally it was used to describe a skilled shooter, one who could kill a snipe (or woodcock as we tend to call em now ), on the wing, this was rather difficult.

here is your problem, there is more than one compound used depending on the manufacturer.

TBX (a thermobaric explosive) is defined as “a partially detonating energetic material with excess fuel (gas, solid or liquid) dispersed and mixed into air with subsequent ignition and reaction achieved in time and in place for added gain of energy, blast and heat.”
