If you find or have A spinosissimus , please jsut do a species only tank and try to get / raise up fry then spread them around . I have been looknig for them for years now
Also I have crowded tanks from time to time , pairs do still form in several cases IME. panamense are every bit as fiesty if not more so than Cons IME

My 75g CA has been up for 4 years now. Alpha is a Thorichthys Mixteco gold male. His buddy is a female JD (no pairing at all). A female Centrarchus. A male hrp and his HRP x Con hybrid daughter are a breeding pair. A Male HRP x Con hybrid and his Con mom are a breeding pair. Also 10 or so 1/2-2" Con x HRP hybrids that survived.

Everyone has their small territory and pretty much sticks to it. Some slight chasing and flaring, but no torn fins at all. Not sure why this works but it does.

I also have some Cryptoheros Chetumalensis males at about 3" if you are interested.
